DAS PAREDES DAS SALAS DE AULA ÀS REDES DIGITAIS: UM ESTADO DO CONHECIMENTO SOBRE AS RECONFIGURAÇÕES PROPORCIONADAS COM A EDUCAÇÃO VIA YOUTUBE

Abstract

This text, built as an element of a research inserted in the post-structuralist perspective of Cultural Studies, seeks to answer the following question: How are Brazilian postgraduate courses working with the theme of educational actions carried out by teachers youtubers/edutubers? This question motivated the construction of a state of knowledge of the research produced in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES and in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations - BDTD, using as search terms: teachers youtubers, edutubers and YouTube video classes. The search carried out in May and June 2023 allowed us to locate twenty-three studies that focused on the use of YouTube videoclasses as a pedagogical tool for formal education, student expression on YouTube, audiovisual resources on YouTube and new connections between young people and the school. In the works examined, the education that takes place in teaching institutions is highlighted, with a predominant understanding that the YouTube platform works as an element that promotes significant learning, enhanced by better pedagogical practice and a more effective relationship between teachers and students. However, with the advent of digital networks, the processes that go beyond traditional educational spaces have been enhanced in different ways, pointing out that the activities of teachers/youtubers/edutubers can constitute discussions yet to be explored. This is due to the understanding that there is room to examine the educational implications of a digital condition that is established, breaking with the fixity and linearity of forms of communication based on the printed text and enabling new subject productions.
