Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD is a psychological disorder that affects children under seven years of age and worries parents, teachers and mental health professionals. This study on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder first conceptualizes the term and presents the causes, symptoms and treatments. The general objective aims to describe the difficulties encountered in the school and academic context presented by people who have ADHD and those who interact with people with this disorder. An empirical basis was used with exploratory and qualitative research. A survey was carried out using the Google Forms tool with pertinent questions for teachers, parents and students living with ADHD. The results show that both parents and teachers notice signs of hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention in students or children, and the students interviewed with ADHD also notice signs of hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention in themselves. It is concluded that there is the possibility of deepening the topic, as it is clear that there is much to be explored in terms of studies of individuals who have ADHD in the school and/or academic context, such as the methods used to learn content .
