O BILINGUISMO DOS SURDOS E O TRANSITAR NAS TEORIAS DO CONHECIMENTO

Abstract

This article is the result of the discipline “Theories of Knowledge” developed by the Postgraduate Program in Education - UCDB Master and Doctorate in Line 3: Cultural Diversity and Indigenous Education. In order to visualize the general concept of bilingualism by bridging the deaf bilingualism, the first moment will be a brief historical course of the “educational philosophies” or educational policies in which deaf education passed through the times until the emergence of deafness. current educational policy for the deaf in Brazil. We will also approach the concept of bilingual schools for the deaf and its purpose and its proposal. To this end, we will analyze the Deaf Bilingualism in the second moment in a polyphormic perspective by the theories of knowledge studied in the discipline. The approach of this research is qualitative, using indirect documentation through theoretical background: bibliographies and documents. We will discuss this work dialoguing with some bibliographical references that address studies and education of the deaf and the like, such as Quadros (2004), Perlin (2007), Gesser (2009), Lopes (2012), among others.
