QUALIDADE DE VIDA NO TRABALHO DE PROFESSORES DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL DE AQUIDAUANA-MS

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the Quality of Life (QOL) and Quality of Life at Work (QWL) of elementary school teachers in Aquidauana-MS. To achieve this goal, bibliographical research, reading of scientific articles, book chapters and field research using the method of written source interviews were carried out. A questionnaire was applied to 8 elementary school teachers in Aquidauana-MS. The research had twenty-six objective questions about sociodemographic data, perceptions about their work and their quality of life at work. This paper presents discussions and reflections on the quality of life in teaching work and pointed out that most teachers are highly motivated to work, very proud of their profession, think about changing their profession and characterize their remuneration as poor and need other sources of income to support themselves, report feeling pain or discomfort to work. Greater attention from public authorities needs to be given to the mental and physical health of these teachers.
