Abstract

This experience report is an excerpt from my formative process as a teacher-researcher-author, whose title question is the guiding problem. Thus, its objective is to reflect on the complexity of my existence as a Physics teacher in university contexts and the effervescence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The reflections undertaken stem from my academic and cultural background: readings, participation in lectures and short courses; uses and appropriations of chatbots; daily classroom demands; and various shifts in experiences. This determined the narrative and qualitative methodology of the report. For now, the results achieved indicate the need to seek problematizing perspectives and continuous reflection, because my condition must be considered in terms of technical capacity; the person of the teacher-researcher-author; the need for transformation or adaptation; critical thinking; creativity; ethics; and student logic. Therefore, this form of research, which delves into the experiences, meanings, and senses individuals attribute to their experiences, highlights the emergence of many unknowns: What are AIs as a social and cultural phenomenon? Which teacher or tutor model(s) will develop? How can we transform the practices and meanings of Physics teaching in these contexts?
