Abstract

Physical education is a curricular component that focuses on bodily practices in the school environment. In this sense, the objective of this work was to map scientific production in Portuguese regarding fights in the school context in the central-west and northern regions of the country in Brazilian periodicals. To do this, we carried out a state of the art in 17 Brazilian journals. The data analyzed allowed us to conclude that research dedicated to fights in the school context is still incipient when compared to research that is not directed to this context. When analyzes are carried out by region of the country, two regions are predominant in the centralization of research. In the central-west and north regions, the smallest number of scientific productions on fighting content was found.
