BOM PROFESSOR
THEORETICAL ACADEMIC ASPECTS FROM A HISTORICAL-CRITICAL PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
This article is the result of a master's research and aims to reflect on the meaning of the expression "Good Teacher" based on academic research, theoretical frameworks, and elementary school teachers from a school in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The study adopts a qualitative approach, involving a literature review and empirical research through the administration of 20 questionnaires, followed by 4 reflective interviews with the participating teachers. The theoretical framework encompasses authors with a perspective of Critical Pedagogy and Historical-Critical Pedagogy. The results revealed that the educational work of the teachers is imbued with the technical dimension of teaching, and that in moments of reflection and narratives about their own practice, the elements considered for being good teachers are predominantly technical, based on mastery of the content to be taught.
