Abstract

National research that focuses on microaggressions is rare, especially those that investigate the process of teaching and learning Mathematics. Thus, by understanding that in such a perspective the problem is underestimated, the present research aims to understand how the national literature presents theoretical and methodological elements about microaggressions related to the teaching and learning of Mathematics. Highlighting the trends that the research studies point to and presenting the implications for future investigations and actions in the area. For this purpose, we carried out a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Finally, we bring the trends, possibilities and diversities highlighted from the research analysis and the implications for future investigations. We consider microaggressions related to the teaching and learning of Mathematics as a fertile and emerging research issue, presenting itself as a multifaceted range, open and subject to crossings and collisions with other themes within and outside Mathematics Education.
