THE RIGHT TO DISCONNECT IN THE HOME OFFICE PERIOD: ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACTS OF QUARANTINE BY COVID-19 ON EMPLOYEE HEALTH
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the problem of the right to disconnect in teleworking from the perspective of workers' health, more specifically with regard to distance work in the current pandemic context (covid-19). This is a relevant and current topic, as a considerable number of employees and employers resorted to distance work as a means of continuing employment relationships, in the face of the sudden changes brought by the social isolation. The research traces the institute of the workday and the right to disconnect correlating them to work at home office, subsequently arguing the intensity that the pandemic gave to this modality and the impacts caused to the worker's health when the right to disconnect from work is neglected. The research methods are analytical and qualitative, with a bibliographic and legislative strategy.
