DIGITAL SLAVERY AND DECENT WORK:

THE IMPACTS OF THE 4.0 REVOLUTION ON LABOR PRECARIOUSNESS

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relation between digital slavery, which presents itself as one of the consequences of the 4.0 revolution and the perception of what can be considered as a decent work, especially emphasizing how this factor contributes to the precariousness of work in Brazil, since the worker upholds working hours longer to those stated in the contract, without necessarily having remuneration in return. Therefore, the deductive method was used, based on a bibliographic and jurisprudential review in order to elucidate the main impacts of this revolution on labor relations, especially on the worker's life. Finally, it appears that, without proper effective protection to reduce the consequences of automation in labor relations, basic rights will be severely violated.
