REFLECTIONS ON PROFESSIONAL MASTER AND DOCTORATE DEGREES IN LIGHT OF THE RELEVANCE OF TRAINING PROCESSES
Abstract
This article discusses some aspects related to the Professional Master's and Doctorate, as a Stricto Sensu Postgraduate modality, especially considering Normative Ordinances 07 and 17 of 2009, Ordinance No. 389 of March 23, 2017 of the Ministry of Education (MEC) and Ordinance No. 60, of March 20, 2019, which establishes guidelines and standards within the scope of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The discussion follows a deductive approach and historical procedure to consider the social, scientific and technological relevance of advanced training processes, as well as the closer relations between teaching and research institutions with the different public and private sectors of professional activity.
