O FLUXO MIGRATÓRIO DE VENEZUELANOS NA AMÉRICA LATINA E A PROTEÇÃO INTERNACIONAL DE DIREITOS HUMANOS
THE MIGRATORY FLOW OF VENEZUELANS IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
Abstract
The work seeks to highlight the main destination countries of Venezuelan immigrants in Latin America and the comparative challenges faced throughout the recognition process as a refugee or immigrant in terms of the preservation of human rights. The research is fundamentally based on reports from international and non-governmental organizations and sources from political institutions. The results of this work are partial because, when considering the political situation in Venezuela and the successive increase in the exodus of people, it is inferred that neighboring countries will still continue to allocate and receive more and more Venezuelans in their territories. The hypothesis is considered that a joint regional response by the countries of South America and a reformulation of restrictive terminologies are alternatives that can bring benefits to asylum seekers and Venezuelan immigrants and the countries that host them, aiming at full respect for the regimes international human rights.
