Abstract

Based on an agenda that seeks to investigate the adoption of the LPP approach by legal studies, this article aims to map out the scenario of studies on public policies to fight gender-based violence by means of a literature review. For that purpose, it was divided into three parts: firstly, it sets forth the conceptual frameworks adopted - gender and gender-based violence; then, it presents the LPP approach, which serves as an analytical lens; finally, it outlines the map of the area, including the description of the methodological path taken hereunder and the systematization of the results, presented in two groups of academic productions - national and international. In conclusion, (i) there is no express and direct adherence to the LPP approach, but its premises and elements permeate the material, indicating seeds for its development, especially in the international case; and (ii) there is great contribution of such productions to the progress of this type of research, but a more systematic and structured analysis by means of the LPP approach would provide greater use of the already acquired knowledge.
