A emergência e desenvolvimento da justiça transicional como campo de pesquisa e de aplicação prática

Resumo

O texto traz uma visão geral da formação, da importância e da transformação da Justiça Transicional, discutindo a aplicação prática de justiça/direitos e verdade, através dos quais sua localização em contextos históricos é realizada. A partir do apontamento dos principais atores e instituições do campo, é descrito a dimensão acadêmica do campo da Justiça Transicional, identificando as interfaces e demarcações dos estudos sobre paz (Peace Studies) e pesquisas sobre desenvolvimento (Development Studies). O autor também faz um balanço dos estudos históricos nesse campo. Por fim, são identificadas as áreas problemáticas e é feito uma avaliação crítica. Isso também levanta a questão de até que ponto a Pesquisa Histórica sobre Paz e Conflitos (PHPC) e Justiça Transicional podem trabalhar melhor em rede e até que ponto a PHPC pode se beneficiar da Justiça Transicional.
