Abstract

In the school environment, there are constantly events that allow debates about how gender and sexuality issues are experienced in school institutions. Thus, it was verified the need to understand the way a school manager experiences and acts in these spaces. Through research with a qualitative approach with the use of semi-structured interviews and discourse analysis, it was intended to analyze how a public school manager in a municipality in the interior of São Paulo interprets gender and sexuality issues in her professional trajectory. It is possible to conclude that the school space is marked by hostile actions tensioned by social issues, even if there is an apparent concern with the integration scenarios for the subjects attending the education. In line, the demand for training courses is identified, mainly from the concern with the terminologies about the areas referenced here.
