Abstract

This rearch aimed to analyze self-management, formation and continuing education in autonomous public and popular schools in Argentina so-called bachilleratos populares. The bachilleratos populares referenced in the analysis are managed by Movimiento Evita militants and serve young people and adults from the poorest layer of the Argentine population. The methodological procedures used in this research were bibliographical, documentary and empirical research. The main results of the research indicate a process of maturation of the self-management mechanisms installed in the bachilleratos populares. The main contradictions experienced by the bachilleratos populares are linked to the conflict triggered between the struggle to obtain state funding and official certificates for completing secondary education and the maintenance of the political formation desired by the Movement.
