Based on unsuccessful comedies, this article analyzes a cult comedy by German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder: Satan´s Brew (1976). This film failed to achieve the desired results but remains a treasure trove in the director's filmography today. Fassbinder is considered a cult filmmaker more oriented toward drama. This collaboration attempts to demonstrate how humor is present in much of the distance between the work and the viewer, a stylistic hallmark of the German director. However, upon analyzing the work, the attentive viewer will discover details that allow for more than one reading. It will be seen that it allows for multiple interpretations.
