Strengthening socio-emotional skills in early childhood: a focus on early childhood education
Abstract
The aim of this article is to highlight the importance of strengthening socio-emotional competencies in early childhood as a fundamental element in promoting integral development in Early Childhood Education. The first section discusses socio-emotional competencies from the perspective of the National Common Core Curriculum and research related to the topic in Early Childhood Education. In the second section, the analysis focuses on working with these competences in the classroom, highlighting the role of teachers and students in this new approach to Early Childhood Education. Bibliographical research was used as a tool for data collection. The article allows us to think about strengthening socio-emotional skills in early childhood as a key factor in promoting integral development from early childhood onwards.
