Abstract

We report through this writing a specific educational activity on Environmental Citizenship, carried out in the Discipline of “Education for Citizenship”, in the 2nd semester of 2019, with students in the 1st year of the Teacher Training Course for Primary Education (Elementary 1 and 2), at the Nampula Teacher Training Institute (IFPN), in Mozambique. The discussion of this topic was interspersed with a practical action of planting trees, in an initiative that we called “One student, One Plant”. The results of this action were extremely important for raising subjective awareness of objective reality, as each student became aware of the importance of healthy coexistence and exercising environmental citizenship. Furthermore, this is the role of the school, to humanize man.
