Abstract

The National Curricular Common Base (BNCC) (BRASIL, 2018) was created in 2017 as a guiding document for the teaching of Basic Education throughout Brazil. Therefore, in this study, the design of games was investigated in the thematic unit jokes and games in the curricular component of Physical Education at BNCC (BRASIL, 2018). Based on the theoretical-methodological framework of historical-cultural theory, we identified a historical and epistemological decontextualization of the game when objectified in the BNCC document (BRASIL, 2018), choosing few references for their school practice and contributing to the lack of knowledge of the teachers' educational work.
