Similarity check and anti-plagiarism policy

Perspectivas em Diálogo: Revista de Educação e Sociedade screens submitted manuscripts for similarity as part of the editorial process, with the aim of identifying possible cases of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, text overlap or redundant publication.

The check is carried out using Turnitin, without prejudice to qualitative editorial analysis. The identification of textual similarity does not, in itself, imply the occurrence of plagiarism. It is the responsibility of the editorial team to assess the context, extent and nature of the similarities identified.

When evidence of plagiarism, self-plagiarism or any other form of editorial misconduct is identified, the journal will adopt the procedures established in its Editorial Ethics Policy and in accordance with COPE guidelines.
